Well testing

A cause corresponds to a combination of elements or phases that may trigger an impacting phenomenon

Prior to exploitation, wells are tested to assess wellbore and reservoir properties such as permeability, reservoir pressure, reservoir limits and boundaries or productivity... The test consists in the monitoring and measurement of temperature and pressure response of the reservoir to changing production and injection conditions. The profiles are analyzed and interpreted using physical equations (Horne, 1995) to estimate reservoir parameters. Well testing is an important step to decide well stimulation and reservoir development strategies, design adequate installations and obtain well and reservoir initial conditions to preserve injectivity.
